What is Gicleé (pronounced "Zhee-Clay)? Gicleé is a French term for “spray of ink.” This is the world standard for reproducing Fine Art. Not to be confused with Lithography (art prints).
Expensive? Not really... Better Value? YES!
Here's why...
Conventional art prints are printed with 4-color process at 300 dots per inch. They are very sensitive to light and fading, also more economical to print. Gicleé prints (ours) are printed at 1400 dots per inch, have an archival rating of 65 years on paper and 100 years on canvas! They are printed one at a time. Our materials are about 6-8 times the cost of an art print, yet only cost about 1.5 to 2 times more.
In the time it takes us to print two 30 inch prints, you could print 7,000 art prints!
These prints will last a lifetime and can be passed down to the next generation of children or friends! Our entire gallery is produced with the Giclee' technique.. Please visit our photography galleries!
