I was spending the morning on the Kabekona River when a diving bald eagle (going for ducks) scared ALL of the waterfoul away. I did get two shots off on these bachelors. This was the first part of spring. All of the female geese were on their nests. I had seen these three together for a couple of days, but couldn't get a nice shot until this happened. By the way, ALL THREE have bands on them which is VERY RARE. The bands are clearly visible on the prints. Shown in the foreground is a pair of Mergansers.
