Hopefully this short segment may answer some of your questions!
“What kind of camera do you use and do you shoot film or digital?”
I shoot all Nikon and am now 98% Digital.
“Do you shoot “rapid fire” on some of you eagle shots?”
No. I always shoot in S-mode (single) and can prove it of my original digital files. Never been a fan of C-mode (continuous).
“Do you adjust your colors and do you use a tripod?”
I shoot for impact, both vibrant or subtle. The colors sometimes are adjusted a minor amount, meaning no more than + or - 10% of their original values. I RARELY use a tripod. I “free hand” 90% of my shots, even when using the big telephoto lenses. Not a huge fan of filters or teleconverters.
"Why aren't your black and white prints cheaper than the color ones?"
Unlike consumer grade inks (your home printer), professional inks are all expensive. The black inks are NOT cheaper than the color inks, they are the same price.
"Do you bait or stage any shots?"
NO. I shoot everything in its' natural environment.
What does Imposition Free mean?
Quite simply it means that what you see in ALL of my photography is shot “as is”. No part of one photo is placed into another photo. In the modern era of computerization, it is legimate to question some of the shots I have been fortunate enough to capture. People comment on occasion: “was that photo double imposed or Photoshopped in? The answer is NO.
A friend once asked: “Isn’t there a lot of pressure being a professional photographer?”
The answer is not really (for three reasons).
- I don’t claim to be the worlds greatest photographer.
- I don’t know everything and am still learning.
- I’m not trying to be like anyone else, just doing my own thing, having fun and once in a while I get lucky. :)
